For my crowdsourcing project, I decided I wanted to focus on memories of
childhood. I am a very nostalgic person, and my childhood/being a kid is
something I tend to look too when making art and games.
For this particular project I decided to ask people to send me
descriptions of an item in their childhood bedroom that was special to
them, or that they strongly associated with their room. Once I had a few
submissions, I drew them with my left hand, with crayons. My goal was to
make each drawing look like they had been drawn by a little kid. Once
drawn, I was trying to think of a way to arrange them, and once arranged,
they reminded me of a sticker sheet. Once I had this thought, I leaned
into the childish nature of the project and decided to design a sticker
pack from the drawings.
